General notes:
Two boxes of pottery sherds. Beechgrove Park on Clarkston Road in Netherlee is thought to be the site of the medieval castle of Lee. Evidence of this was discovered by accident in 1984, when a huge tree was toppled by a storm and buried within the roots were these pottery fragments. The sherds have been dated to sometime between the 13th – 14th centuries and the late medieval period and include rim and body sherds of some kind of vessel or bowl some with green glaze and some with decoration as well as pieces of a handle.
