General notes:
Wallace Fairweather was the former chairman of Renfrew First District Council and a local benefactor. Fairweather Hall on Barrhead Road, Newton Mearns was named after him. The aircraft pictured is an Avro 594 Avian III which was the same model that Amelia Earhart owned. Fairweather’s aircraft came into service on 12th Sep 1927. He was the fourth owner so that would date the photographs sometime between then and 20th Dec 1929.
