General notes:
This area was known as The Brig. It shows several dwellings and the Crofthead Mill at the junction of Holehouse Brae and Loch Libo Road. The bottom flat of the four-storey brick building was the Bleach House, the second was called 'The Stove', the third 'The White Ware Room' and on the fourth can be seen the Engine House and the base of the 'lum'. No.3 Mill and the Block Store, where the wood for bobbins was kept, can be seen in the background to the right of the mill. (From The Neilston Story by J.J. Laws, p40)
