Originally from England, Zechariah Heys came to Barrhead from Milton of Campsie around 1841 when he acquired the South Arthurlie Printworks from Messrs. James Henry & Company. The photograph of Mrs. John Heys identified in the album could be Suzannah (b.1826) who was the wife of Zachariah's son John (1815-1890) More information is sought on this item.
