Ltd. became part of the English Sewing Cotton Company. In 1963 it went into partnership with Tootal Broadhurst Lee Co Ltd., but still traded under its own name. In 1992, the Crofthead mill closed with the remaining staff transfered to the mill in the Newton Mearns factory.
