General notes:
Set up at the end of the First World War, Arundel School was one of the earliest private schools in Clarkston. It began in the home of a Miss Cumming in Overlee Road, but by 1924 it was established in a corrugated iron building on Busby Road. It was therefore often known as 'The Tin Academy'.
