During this period, Jean Gibson was teaching at Barrhead High School, so we may assume she was the teacher of this class. The magazine is a lovely collection of poems, drawings and stories by the children, some of whom we can identify and whose names have been indexed in the Gibson Names Index. Of particular note are the drawings which refer to World War II, no doubt a significant presence in the children's lives at this time.
