This article describes how members of the Barrhead GTC, amongst other things, had held a parade, received instruction in aircraft recognition, attended a joint social evening with boys from the ATC, and watched a film on life in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) called "The Gentle Sex". It seems that their regular meetings took place at Cross Arthurlie School on Mondays.
