Jean has captured the signatures of her classmates and teachers at Barrhead High School from 1932-33, including all the girls who went on holiday to Perth as the Barrhead High School Girls' Club. There are a few drawings and poems, and a loose-leaf page with the signature of one of Barrhead's most famous people of the time, James Maxton MP. The names contained in the book have been added to the Gibson Names Index.
