Agnes's letter describes a family trip to Stirling, to see her eldest daughter Jean, who was holidaying there with the Barrhead High School Girls' Club. Jean also described this holiday in an article she wrote in the 1980s (see Record No. 2728). The addressed envelope suggests that Margaret was staying with relatives in Whitecraigs at this time.
