General notes:
John Sawers (1862-1945) donated 8 watercolours and 3 drawings to Glasgow Museums. His family owned a fish, game & poultry merchants with branches all over the UK including Glasgow. In the early 1900s Sawers bought a plot of land in Giffnock known as the Hollows and built a house 'Eastwood Hollows' which was later demolished. A copy of this material is held in the People folder at Giffnock Heritage Centre.
