General notes:
Walter S. Wilson is 3rd from left in the back row. Walter started as a pattern maker in Shanks in the late 1940s after serving his apprenticeship in Paisley shipyard. He progressed to the foundry and ultimately to Work's Manager until his retirement. Walter also spent time setting up tap workings in Singapore in 1978/79.
