General notes:
On taking control of Thornliebank Printworks in 1870, Alexander Crum built these rows of red brick houses which were noted for their high quality for the time. One hundred years later they were deemed substandard and from 1971 to 1977 were demolished.(Kennishead Road, North Park and Campsie Terrace) At the same time 114 new local authority houses and 5 new private houses were built.
