General notes:
John Robertson was the foreman at Crofthead Mills and was reponsible for improving the safety and efficiency of cotton spinning. He also designed the first marine engine. The commemorative ceremony was performed by Mrs Glen of Carlibar, who is visible in the horse drawn carriage.A large duplicate is stored with the outsize photographs.
