General notes:
The Nurses' Home, or "Busby House" as it was originally known, was initially sold to, or rented by, managers of the cotton mills in Busby. During the Asiatic Cholera outbreak of 1832, the then mill owner, Mr Kelly, allowed the house to be used as a hospital. James Crum took over the mills, and Busby House, in 1843.
