General notes:
The Eaglesham Musical Association met for rehearsals on a Saturday night, and finished their season with a grand concert and a dance. This was held in the Old Concert Hall which once stood in Glendinning Place. The group in this photo are posed around the fountain in the garden of Croft House which was owned by Provost Paton (Provost was an honorary title) who probably founded the association. He wrote the song 'The Auld Broom Mair' which is the name of the birch wood in the background of the photo and after which Brownmuir Avenue is named. Robert Nairn the choir master is sitting directly above the fountain.
