General notes:
At its inception, Busby School served the parishes of Mearn, Carmunnock and Cathcart. The school was opened in 1876 but a fire in 1900 destroyed the building and all early records. After the fire, temporary accommodation was set up and in 1904 a new school was opened. This postcard shows the 'new' school which still stands today.
